Robotics engineer responsibilities include:
1. Design and develop robotic systems, including mechanical components, sensors, and control systems
2. Program and integrate robotic software using ROS (Robot Operating System), C++, and Python
3. Develop and implement computer vision systems for object recognition and navigation
4. Conduct simulation testing using Gazebo or similar platforms before physical implementation
5. Design and optimize motion planning algorithms and control systems
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate robotic systems with existing infrastructure
7. Perform system troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization
8. Document design processes, create technical specifications, and maintain version control
1. Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
2. 3+ years of professional experience in robotics development and implementation
3. Proficiency in programming languages: Python and C++
4. Strong experience with ROS (Robot Operating System)
5. Solid understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and control theory
6. Experience with sensor integration (LIDAR, cameras, IMUs, etc.)
7. Knowledge of mechanical design principles and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
8. Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller programming
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree or PhD in Robotics or related field
2. Experience with machine learning applications in robotics
3. Background in computer vision and image processing
4. Knowledge of industrial automation standards and protocols
5. Experience with collaborative robots (cobots) implementation
6. Previous work in agile development environments
7. Familiarity with cloud robotics and IoT integration
8. Experience with simulation tools beyond Gazebo (Webots, CoppeliaSim)
