Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include:
1. Design and optimize manufacturing processes using CAD/CAM software and industrial engineering principles
2. Implement lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency
3. Develop and maintain production documentation including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures
4. Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and line balancing to maximize throughput
5. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
6. Collaborate with quality control to establish and maintain quality standards and inspection criteria
7. Design and specify tooling, fixtures, and equipment for manufacturing operations
8. Lead continuous improvement projects using Kaizen and other improvement methodologies
9. Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization
10. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and implement ergonomic improvements
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
2. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a production environment
3. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
4. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
5. Experience with process improvement and continuous optimization techniques
6. Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
7. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, assembly, and fabrication
8. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making
10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
1. Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
2. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
3. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
4. Knowledge of automation and robotics integration in manufacturing
5. Experience with CNC programming and CAM software
6. Background in automotive, aerospace, or medical device manufacturing
7. Project management experience with PMP certification
8. Experience with statistical analysis software (Minitab, JMP, or similar)
9. Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
10. Experience with 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies

1. Proficiency in simulation software (FlexSim, Arena, or similar) for process modeling
