Job Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical Industrial Engineer to optimize our manufacturing and operational processes. The ideal candidate will apply engineering principles and analytical methods to improve productivity, reduce costs, enhance quality, and ensure workplace safety. This role requires a data-driven problem-solver who can design efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy.
Industrial Engineer responsibilities include:
1. Conduct time and motion studies to analyze workforce utilization, equipment efficiency, and production flow
2. Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
3. Design facility layouts, material handling systems, and workflow processes using AutoCAD or similar tools
4. Perform capacity planning, line balancing, and bottleneck analysis to maximize throughput
5. Establish standardized work instructions, quality control procedures, and performance metrics
6. Utilize statistical analysis and simulation software to model and optimize production systems
7. Lead continuous improvement projects targeting waste reduction, cost savings, and quality enhancement
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and supply chain
1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field
2. 3+ years of industrial engineering experience in manufacturing or production environments
3. Proficiency in time study techniques, work measurement, and methods engineering
4. Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis using Excel, Minitab, or similar tools
5. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
6. Experience with process mapping, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to implement practical solutions
8. Understanding of ergonomics and workplace safety standards (OSHA regulations)
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
2. Professional Engineering (PE) license or Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) credential
3. 5+ years of experience in automotive, aerospace, or high-volume manufacturing
4. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
5. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and manufacturing execution systems (MES)
6. Proficiency with simulation software (Arena, FlexSim) and advanced statistical analysis
7. Project management experience with demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams
8. Background in automation, robotics, or smart manufacturing implementation

1. Programming skills in Python, R, or SQL for advanced data analysis and automation
2. Experience with digital twin technology and IoT implementation in manufacturing
3. Knowledge of supply chain optimization and logistics management
