3. Perform process simulations using software like Aspen Plus or ChemCAD.
4. Conduct data analysis and process optimization to improve yield, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
5. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations (EPA), and quality standards (cGMP for pharmaceuticals).
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, operations, and maintenance.
7. Prepare technical documentation, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and operating procedures.
1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
2. 2+ years of experience in process design, development, or manufacturing in a chemical industry setting.
3. Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
4. Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass/heat transfer principles.
5. Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, PSM) and environmental regulations.
6. Ability to perform mass and energy balances.
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification.
2. Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
