Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on various aircraft to ensure airworthiness and compliance with FAA regulations. The ideal candidate will maintain the highest safety standards while working on airframes, powerplants, and aircraft systems.
Aircraft Mechanic responsibilities include:
1. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft airframes, engines, and components
2. Conduct thorough inspections in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and fuel systems
4. Complete accurate maintenance records and documentation per FAA requirements
5. Execute repairs on composite structures, sheet metal, and aircraft interiors
6. Perform engine runs and functional checks of aircraft systems
7. Maintain shop equipment and ensure proper calibration of tools
1. FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
2. Minimum 3 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
3. Proficiency reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
4. Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (FAR Part 43, 91, 121, 145)
5. Experience with aircraft systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
6. Ability to use precision measuring instruments and specialized aircraft tools
7. High school diploma or equivalent with technical training in aviation maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
1. 5+ years of experience in commercial or military aircraft maintenance
2. Experience with specific aircraft types (Boeing, Airbus, or regional aircraft)
3. FCC license or avionics experience
4. Inspection Authorization (IA) certification
5. Experience working in FAA Part 145 repair station environment
6. Composite repair and sheet metal experience
7. Line maintenance or field service experience
