AI Ethics Researcher responsibilities include:

2. Develop ethical guidelines and governance frameworks for AI development teams
3. Perform impact assessments of AI systems on diverse populations and vulnerable communities
4. Collaborate with product teams to implement ethical AI principles throughout development lifecycle
5. Publish research findings in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, FAccT) and industry white papers
6. Design and validate bias mitigation techniques and fairness-aware machine learning algorithms
7. Engage with external stakeholders including policymakers, advocacy groups, and academic partners
8. Create tools and methodologies for ethical AI auditing and compliance monitoring
1. PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field with focus on AI ethics
2. 3+ years research experience in algorithmic fairness, bias detection, or ethical AI
3. Strong publication record in AI ethics venues (FAccT, AIES, or related conferences)
4. Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
5. Deep understanding of ethical theories and frameworks applicable to AI systems
6. Experience with statistical analysis of algorithmic outcomes across demographic groups
7. Knowledge of US regulations and guidelines affecting AI deployment (EEOC, FTC guidelines)
8. Demonstrated ability to translate ethical principles into practical technical requirements

1. Experience working in both industry and academic research settings
