Preschool Teacher responsibilities include:

1. Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with early learning standards and accommodate varying developmental levels 2. Create a classroom environment that promotes positive behavior, social interaction, and independent learning 3. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress and maintain accurate records of development 4. Establish and maintain open communication with parents through daily reports, conferences, and informal discussions 5. Ensure classroom safety and hygiene following state licensing regulations and center policies 6. Integrate literacy, math, science, and creative arts into daily activities through hands-on learning experiences 7. Collaborate with teaching team and administrators to maintain program quality and consistency

Must-Have Requirements

1. Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (minimum) 2. State-issued teaching credential/certification for preschool setting 3. Minimum 2 years of experience working with children ages 3-5 in a group setting 4. Current CPR and First Aid certification 5. Comprehensive understanding of child development principles and best practices 6. Ability to pass comprehensive background check and fingerprint clearance 7. Knowledge of state licensing requirements and health/safety regulations

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development 2. 3+ years of lead teacher experience in a licensed preschool program 3. Specialized training in Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or Play-Based learning approaches 4. Experience with diverse populations and inclusive teaching practices 5. Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English preferred) 6. Familiarity with assessment tools such as Teaching Strategies GOLD or DRDP 7. Previous experience with accreditation processes (NAEYC, NECPA)
