Nanny responsibilities include:
1. Provide constant supervision and ensure children's safety at all times
2. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning
3. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks following dietary guidelines and preferences
4. Maintain children's daily routines including nap times, hygiene, and bedtime
5. Perform light housekeeping related to children's areas (laundry, room cleaning, toy organization)
6. Transport children to/from school, activities, and appointments using family vehicle
7. Document daily activities, milestones, and any concerns for parents' review
8. Administer basic first aid and medication according to parental instructions
9. Encourage positive behavior and social development through consistent discipline techniques
10. Communicate effectively with parents about children's needs and daily experiences
1. Minimum 3 years of professional nanny experience with verifiable references
2. CPR and First Aid certification (infant/child/adult)
3. Clean driving record and valid driver's license
4. Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
5. Physical capability to lift children (up to 50 pounds) and engage in active play
6. Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
7. Knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate activities
8. Understanding of basic nutrition and meal preparation for children
9. Availability for flexible scheduling including occasional evenings/weekends
10. Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
1. Early Childhood Education degree or relevant certification (CDA)
2. Experience with multiple children of varying age groups simultaneously
3. Familiarity with Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or other educational approaches
4. Proficiency in meal planning for special dietary needs (allergies, vegetarian, etc.)
5. Previous long-term position (2+ years) with a single family
6. Knowledge of basic household management and organization systems
7. Experience with educational apps and technology for children's learning
8. Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Mandarin, or French particularly valued)
9. Comfort with family pets and ability to assist with pet care
10. Flexibility for travel with family during school breaks or vacations
