3. Maintain daily logs of children's activities, behaviors, and milestones
4. Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks following USDA childcare nutrition guidelines
5. Administer basic first aid and medication according to parental consent and state regulations
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of childcare areas following health department standards
7. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and daily experiences
8. Identify and respond to emotional and social needs of children through positive reinforcement
9. Follow all state licensing requirements and maintain compliance with safety protocols
10. Organize and lead activities that develop children's physical, emotional, and social growth
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent
2. Minimum 1 year of professional childcare experience
3. Current CPR and First Aid certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
4. Clear background check and fingerprint clearance
5. Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
6. Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and engage in active play
7. Understanding of state childcare licensing requirements
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. Basic computer skills for maintaining records and communication
10. Reliable transportation and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
2. 2+ years of experience in licensed childcare facility
3. Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
4. Experience with special needs children or inclusive childcare practices
5. Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English)
6. Knowledge of USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program requirements
7. Experience with emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures
8. Familiarity with creative curriculum and developmental assessment tools
9. Previous experience in Montessori or Reggio Emilia approach
10. Current food handler's permit or ServSafe certification
