This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, user experience, and current web design trends to create engaging digital experiences for our US-based clientele.
Web Designer responsibilities include:
1. Design and develop responsive website layouts, interfaces, and digital assets using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
2. Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders
3. Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs and maintain design consistency
4. Optimize web graphics and assets for maximum speed and scalability while maintaining quality
5. Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve user experience
6. Stay updated with emerging web design trends, techniques, and technologies in the US market
7. Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and are compatible across multiple browsers and devices
1. 3+ years of professional web design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive design projects
2. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and Figma
3. Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for design implementation
4. Experience creating wireframes, user flows, and process flows using industry-standard tools
5. Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles, typography, color theory, and layout design
6. Demonstrated ability to design responsive websites that work across multiple devices and screen sizes
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to present design concepts to clients and team members
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or related field
2. Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS) and front-end frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation)
3. Knowledge of WordPress theme development and customization
4. Understanding of SEO principles and how they relate to web design
5. Experience with motion graphics and micro-interactions using CSS animations or JavaScript libraries
6. Previous agency experience working with US-based clients across various industries
7. Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative design workflows
