Laundry Attendant responsibilities include:
1. Operate and monitor industrial washers, dryers, and pressing equipment following manufacturer guidelines
2. Sort linens by fabric type, color, and soil level to prevent damage and ensure proper cleaning
3. Apply appropriate cleaning chemicals and detergents according to load specifications and safety protocols
4. Inspect all linens for stains, damage, or wear and perform spot treatment as needed
5. Fold, stack, and distribute clean linens to appropriate storage or distribution areas
6. Maintain accurate inventory records of linens and cleaning supplies
7. Follow strict infection control protocols and OSHA safety standards
8. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laundry equipment
9. Meet daily production quotas while maintaining quality standards
10. Handle and process specialty items requiring special care instructions
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent
2. Minimum 6 months experience in commercial laundry operations
3. Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shift
4. Basic math skills for measuring cleaning chemicals
5. Understanding of industrial laundry equipment operation
6. Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
7. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
8. Basic English communication skills
9. Ability to work in hot, humid environments
10. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications
1. 2+ years experience in hotel or hospital laundry department
2. Experience with MILNOR, UniMac, or Speed Queen industrial equipment
