Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Landscaper to join our team, responsible for creating and maintaining beautiful, functional outdoor spaces for residential and commercial properties across the United States. The ideal candidate will possess strong horticultural knowledge, technical landscaping skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality in landscape installation and maintenance services.
Landscaper responsibilities include:
1. Install and maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and other plants according to landscape designs
2. Operate and maintain landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and small power tools
3. Perform seasonal landscaping tasks including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control
4. Install and maintain irrigation systems, including troubleshooting and repairs
5. Construct hardscape features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and decorative stonework
6. Monitor plant health and soil conditions, making adjustments to ensure optimal growth
7. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
8. Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress and maintenance recommendations
1. Minimum 2 years of professional landscaping experience in the US market
2. Valid driver's license with clean driving record
3. Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
4. Knowledge of regional plant species and their maintenance requirements
5. Proficiency with landscaping tools and equipment operation
6. Understanding of basic irrigation systems and maintenance
7. Ability to read and interpret landscape designs and blueprints
8. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
1. Certification in landscaping or horticulture from recognized US institutions
2. Experience with commercial landscaping projects exceeding 10,000 sq ft
3. Knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices and water conservation techniques
4. Experience with landscape design software (e.g., CAD, SketchUp)
5. Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) for team communication
6. OSHA 10-hour certification for construction safety
7. Experience with snow removal operations in northern states
8. Background in organic lawn care and pest management practices
