The ideal candidate will provide exceptional in-home service, demonstrating technical expertise and customer service excellence while working independently across residential service areas.
Appliance Service Technician responsibilities include:
1. Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on major appliances including refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers, and dryers
2. Conduct repairs, replacements, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical components
3. Provide accurate cost estimates and explain repair options to customers
4. Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment according to company standards
5. Document service calls, parts usage, and labor hours in digital work order system
6. Adhere to safety protocols and EPA regulations for refrigerant handling
7. Build customer relationships through professional communication and service excellence
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2. EPA 608 Universal Certification for refrigerant handling
3. Minimum 2 years of field experience in appliance repair
4. Valid driver's license with clean driving record
5. Proficiency with multimeters, leak detectors, and appliance-specific tools
6. Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and maneuver appliances in tight spaces
7. Basic smartphone and tablet proficiency for digital documentation
Preferred Qualifications
1. Manufacturer certifications (GE, Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, etc.)
2. 3+ years of residential service experience
3. HVAC or electrical system knowledge
4. Experience with luxury appliance brands
5. Knowledge of smart home technology and Wi-Fi enabled appliances

7. Military service or technical training program completion
