Senior Learning and Development Manager responsibilities include:
1. Develop and execute enterprise-wide learning and development strategies aligned with business goals
2. Design and deliver leadership development programs, manager training, and professional skills workshops
3. Conduct thorough training needs assessments through stakeholder interviews and performance data analysis
4. Manage the annual L&D budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and ROI measurement
5. Oversee the implementation and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS)
6. Create metrics and analytics frameworks to measure program effectiveness and business impact
7. Partner with senior leadership to identify current and future capability gaps
8. Manage vendor relationships and external training partnerships
9. Lead a team of L&D specialists and instructional designers
10. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in corporate learning
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education or related field
2. 8+ years of progressive experience in learning and development roles
3. 3+ years of experience managing L&D teams and budgets exceeding $500K
4. Proven expertise in instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Agile)
5. Demonstrated success in designing and implementing leadership development programs
6. Extensive experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning technologies
7. Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple enterprise-wide initiatives
8. Excellent facilitation and presentation skills for executive-level audiences
9. Experience developing and measuring ROI for learning programs
10. Deep knowledge of adult learning theories and application
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or MBA
2. Professional certifications (CPLP, ATD, SHRM-SCP)
3. Experience in change management methodologies and implementation
4. Background in leadership coaching and executive development
5. Experience in Fortune 500 or large multinational organizations
