Sales Trainer responsibilities include:
1. Design and implement sales training curriculum covering prospecting, qualification, presentation, negotiation, and closing techniques
2. Conduct live training sessions, workshops, and role-playing exercises for new hires and existing sales staff
3. Develop and maintain training materials including playbooks, scripts, objection handling guides, and sales process documentation
4. Assess individual and team performance gaps through observation, role-plays, and sales metrics analysis
5. Provide one-on-one coaching to sales representatives to improve specific skill deficiencies
6. Track and report on training effectiveness through KPIs including conversion rates, deal size, and sales cycle length
7. Stay current with sales methodologies (SPIN, Challenger, MEDDIC), tools (CRM, sales enablement platforms), and industry trends
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or related field
2. 5+ years of direct sales experience with proven track record of exceeding quotas
3. 3+ years of sales training or sales management experience
4. Expertise in modern sales methodologies (SPIN, Challenger, Solution Selling)
5. Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools
6. Demonstrated ability to create and deliver engaging sales training content
7. Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Business Administration or Organizational Development
2. Experience in SaaS, technology, or complex B2B sales environments
3. Certification in professional sales training programs (Sandler, Miller Heiman, etc.)
