Job Overview
The Sales Coach will be responsible for developing and enhancing the performance of our sales team through targeted coaching, skill development, and performance analysis. This role focuses on improving sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets across North American markets.
Sales Coach responsibilities include:
1. Conduct weekly one-on-one coaching sessions with sales representatives to review performance metrics and identify improvement areas
2. Develop and implement customized sales training programs focusing on consultative selling, negotiation techniques, and closing strategies
3. Analyze sales data and CRM metrics to identify performance trends and coaching opportunities
4. Create and maintain sales playbooks, scripts, and training materials aligned with US market dynamics
5. Facilitate group training sessions on new product launches, market strategies, and competitive positioning
6. Monitor and evaluate sales calls and customer interactions using Gong/Chorus or similar platforms
7. Collaborate with sales leadership to establish performance benchmarks and coaching priorities
8. Track and report on coaching effectiveness through measurable performance improvements and KPIs
1. 5+ years of proven sales coaching experience in US-based organizations
2. Demonstrated success in improving sales team performance metrics and quota attainment
3. Expertise in modern sales methodologies (MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, SPIN Selling)
4. Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and sales enablement platforms
5. Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret sales data and performance metrics
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional team experience
7. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in technology/SaaS sales environments with complex sales cycles
2. Certification in professional coaching (ICF, CPCC, or similar)
3. Background in multi-channel sales organizations (enterprise, mid-market, SMB)
4. Experience with sales engagement platforms (Outreach, Salesloft, HubSpot)
5. Knowledge of US market regulatory compliance and sales ethics standards
6. Master's degree in Business Administration or Organizational Psychology
