This role requires problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Plumber responsibilities include:
1. Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment for water, gas, and drainage systems.
2. Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues using diagnostic tools.
3. Read blueprints and building specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems.
4. Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
5. Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and clients to coordinate projects.
6. Perform emergency repairs for leaks, clogs, and other plumbing emergencies.
7. Estimate time, materials, and costs for plumbing projects.
8. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
1. Valid Journeyman or Master Plumber license in the state of employment.
2. Minimum 3 years of professional plumbing experience.
3. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
4. Knowledge of local plumbing codes and OSHA safety regulations.
5. Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
6. Own basic plumbing tools (wrenches, pipe cutters, etc.).
7. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
1. 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial plumbing.
2. Experience with pipefitting, welding, or soldering.
3. Backflow certification.
4. OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
5. Experience with plumbing software for estimates and invoicing.
