Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical accounting skills and the ability to manage complex financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with US GAAP standards, oversee month-end close procedures, and provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions.
Senior Accountant responsibilities include:
1. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
2. Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
3. Manage general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and journal entries
4. Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
5. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and quarterly reviews
6. Develop and implement internal controls and accounting policies
7. Analyze financial data and provide variance analysis to management
8. Assist in budget preparation and forecasting processes
9. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax filings requirements
10. Mentor and guide junior accounting staff
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
3. CPA certification (active)
4. Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
5. Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar)
6. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
7. Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
8. Strong understanding of internal controls and audit procedures
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
10. US work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation
2. Big 4 public accounting experience
