Credit Manager responsibilities include:
1. Develop and implement credit policies and procedures
2. Analyze financial statements and credit reports to determine creditworthiness
3. Establish appropriate credit limits for new and existing customers
4. Monitor accounts receivable aging and implement collection strategies
5. Manage relationships with credit reporting agencies and financial institutions
6. Lead credit committee meetings and present risk assessments
7. Negotiate payment plans with delinquent accounts
8. Prepare monthly credit risk reports for senior management
9. Ensure compliance with federal lending regulations (FCRA, FDCPA)
10. Train and supervise credit analysts and collections staff
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
2. 5+ years of progressive experience in credit analysis or risk management
3. Expert knowledge of financial statement analysis and ratio analysis
4. Proficiency with credit scoring models and risk assessment tools
5. Strong understanding of US credit laws and regulations
6. Experience with credit bureau reports (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion)
7. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
8. Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance
2. Professional certification (CCE, CRC, or similar)
