Bookkeeper responsibilities include:

1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) 2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions 3. Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly 4. Prepare and submit quarterly and annual tax filings (including 1099s) 5. Generate financial reports: balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements 6. Process payroll and maintain employee records 7. Manage chart of accounts and general ledger maintenance 8. Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting 9. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and IRS regulations 10. Coordinate with CPA during annual audits and tax preparation

Must-Have Requirements

1. 2+ years of bookkeeping experience in US business environment 2. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop 3. Solid understanding of GAAP principles 4.
