Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with US GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will lead our accounting team, manage month-end close processes, and provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions in a dynamic corporate environment.
Accounting Manager responsibilities include:
1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll
2. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
3. Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements
4. Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls to maintain financial integrity
5. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax preparations
6. Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
7. Mentor and develop accounting staff through performance management and training initiatives
8. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2. CPA certification (active status)
3. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with 3+ years in a supervisory role
4. Expert knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
5. Proficiency with major accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP)
6. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
7. Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
8. Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
2. Big 4 public accounting experience
